& CHRISTMAS CARDS ARE IN!!!!!!!!

(Corpus Christi, TX))It’s that time of the year to buy Christmas Cards and mark the date on your 2005 Calendar. This year’s theme, “Laughter is the best Medicine”, and you can see the smiles shine as we invite all the children (patients) who participated back for the unveiling of our 2005 Calendar. This year, Driscoll Children's Hospital, has also selected artwork from 7 patients whose talent will be displayed on Christmas Cards to welcome in the holiday season.

Many of our patients pass their time at the hospital showcasing their artwork on paper. We have selected an Angel, Snowman, Christmas Tree, Poinsettia, Manger, and a “Peace on Earth” card which is a MUST SEE! The package of 20 Christmas Cards are $10 each. Proceeds benefit the Marcia K. Wilcox Scholarship Fund, 100% will be awarded to Oncology patients in the form of college scholarships. Our 2005 “Laughter is the Best Medicine” Calendar is inspired by the many “idioms” we use on a daily basis. “Hold your Horses”, “Busy as a Bee”, and “If the Shoe fits Wear it” are some of the examples you’ll see throughout the year. The children are “cute as a bug” and come from across our 33 county area and every department of our hospital. The Calendars are $10 each and will benefit various hospital patient programs.

Since opening its doors in 1953, Driscoll Children’s Hospital has been offering hope and healing to the children of South Texas for half a century. The facility is a 189-bed pediatric tertiary care center with pediatric board-certified specialists representing 19 medical and nine surgical specialties.
