TIMOTHY PHILPOTT, R.PH., JOINS DRISCOLL
AS DIRECTOR OF PHARMACY

(Corpus Christi, TX) Driscoll Children's Hospital is pleased to announce Timothy P. Philpott, R.Ph., has joined the staff as Director of Pharmacy. The announcement was made by Rick Merrill, CEO and President of Driscoll Children's Hospital. In his new position, Philpott will provide direction and leadership for all pharmacy programs and services including drug storage, drug preparation, as well as meets all accreditation and certification requirements and complies with all applicable policies, procedures, codes and stands of the hospital.

Philpott brings more than 20 years of extensive pharmacy experience in both military and civilian hospitals, as well as outpatient clinic, long term care, and retail community pharmacy environments. Prior to joining Driscoll, Philpott, was a subcontractor for the United States Federal Government for pharmacy services in premier Army and Air Force hospital facilities as well as Director of Pharmacy for South West General Hospital (289 beds) in San Antonio. He also played various management roles at numerous pharmacy retail outlets including H.E.B. Grocery Company, Alberton’s, Wal-Mart, Pharmerica, Inc., Caremark, Inc., and Aliron International, Inc. In addition, Philpott offers 15 years of military experience as an Air Force Aerospace Physiologist, Hyperbaric Physiologist, and Chief of Pharmacy Services at various bases throughout the nation.

Philpott earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Perdue University from West Lafayette, Indiana and Masters in Public Administration from Gold Gate University in San Francisco, California. He is a member of the Texas Pharmacist Association and American Society of Healthcare Professionals, and Pharmacy Board Licensed in the state of Texas.
