DRISCOLL APPOINTS LIZETTE SAENZ, M.S.,
AS DIRECTOR OF VOLUNTEER SERVICES
(Corpus Christi, TX) Driscoll Children's Hospital
and its Governing Board are pleased to announce Lizette Saenz, M.S., has
been appointed as Director of Volunteer Services. The announcement was
made by Rick Merrill, C.E.O. and President of Driscoll Children's Hospital.
In her new position, Saenz will be responsible for leading a team of three
full-time employees and more than 400 adult and teenage volunteers who
create a unique and caring atmosphere, and contribute to the efficiency
and effectiveness of the hospital by working in the gift shop, book and
toy deliveries, and manning the Information Desk. She will also organize
and direct recruitment, training, retention, and activities for volunteers.
Prior to her new position, Saenz was a Patient Relations Representative ensuring
patient satisfaction as well as rights and responsibilities were met during
a visit, and as the Milestones Infant Tracking Program Coordinator, both
at Driscoll. She was also an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist for
the M.H.M.R. Infant Development Program.
Saenz earned her Bachelor of Science in Vocational Education and Master
of Science in General Counseling, both from Texas A&M Corpus Christi,
and an Associate in Applied Science in Architectural Technology from Del
Mar College in Corpus Christi. In addition to her certification as an
Early Childhood Intervention Specialist, she is also maintains her Social
Work license (L.B.S.W.).
