Sale
Benefiting Driscoll Children's Hospital

with some fabulous, crisp Red Delicious and Golden
Delicious Washington State Apples. The Six Points
Kiwanis Club is proud to host their 22nd Annual
Apple Sale, a benefit fundraiser for Driscoll Children's Hospital’s
“Camp for All” Cancer Camp. The event takes place Saturday,
October 29th from 8am-4pm at the hospital’s front parking lot. Throughout
the years, Six Points Kiwanis Club has been instrumental with this
event, raising nearly $250,000 for the children of South Texas. Their
mission is to improve the quality of life for children and families in
the Coastal Bend area.
An eighteen wheeler will deliver more than 800 cases
of Red Delicious Apples and 100 cases of Golden
Delicious Apples. All apples will be great to add to your favorite
recipe for apple pie, caramel apples, apple cake and apple tarts.
Pre-Sale Tickets are recommended!!! Apples
are $30 per carton. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased from any Six Points
Kiwanis member or by calling 886.6425. Ticket holders should pick up their
cartons on Saturday, October 29th. Walk-up sales that day are also welcome.
First come, first serve as apples are limited. Cash, check and credit
cards will be acceptable.

Since opening its doors in 1953, Driscoll Children’s Hospital
has been offering hope and healing to the children of South Texas for
half a century. The facility is a 189-bed pediatric tertiary care center
with pediatric board-certified specialists representing 19 medical and
nine surgical specialties. Each year, more than 6,000 children are admitted
for inpatient care, 5,000 for day surgery, and 50,000 for outpatient
primary and specialty care, as well as 40,000 for emergency care, as
the first South Texas hospital with emergency services exclusively for
children. Additionally, Driscoll maintains a state-of-the-art ground/air
transport team, 20-bed pediatric intensive care unit, 40-bed neonatal
intensive care unit, and specialized medical outreach.
